One of the most important things you can do to stay positive and moving forward is to surround yourself with others who are the same. IT has been said that you are what you eat and while there is substance to that, I would challenge that you are what you “think” you are so you must control your thoughts more than anything. If you are thinking bad things because of the people you hang out with, you need new friends or they will drag you down to their level.
Sure, you can pull some of your friends up but that takes a lot of strength and discipline. You can build strength by studying and reading positive publications like success magazine and even blogs like positivewayoflife.com and others. But you can also start surrounding yourself with others who are thinking what you want to be thinking –Positive thoughts.
So everyone rides a bit of an emotional roller coaster in life and sometimes it’s hard to maintain a positive attitude. If you have a lot of positive friends and relationships, these people will help you think more positively AND you will help them as well depending on where they/you are on the “roller coaster.”
Where can you find such people? You will find numerous online communities where you can find people who will elevate your thinking. But you also need to find local groups and people for one-on-one relationships. If you are a religious person, many churches have people seeking better thoughts and even positive thoughts. Other places include community organizations, some employers and business organizations. A great resource is to join a network marketing company. Many of these companies provide a great set of people to surround yourselves with. I am a network marketer in telecommunications and my company has a local group, regional groups and a national group. Twenty to Thirty thousand of us get together every 3-4 months to meet each other, learn from each other and stay positive and plugged in.
In any and all cases, your relationships will affect you so be sure you are with the people bringing you the direction you want to go.

Very true. Another place that you can look for like minded (hopefully positive) people is within your own interests and hobbies. Almost every hobbies has some kind of group, just make sure it’s a positive minded group and/or hobby/interest.
i agree with you there is always a group to hang out with. Sometimes the group isn’t so good. But any how thank you for the comment and stopping by.
