What being physically hurt can teach you?

 Over the past couple of weeks i’ve been healing up from a badly sprained ankle. It was a very hard time dealing with it. From being able to wake up and go out skateboarding, then coming home blogging and etc.

Not being able to go outside physically without killing myself was a hard thing to cope with. The days of being what seemed locked inside started to take a toll on me. I thought about giving up alot of things. So i had decided at one point that taking some time off from blogging was the right thing to do.

But anyhow being hurt physically let me know that how used we can get to a routine. Then when that routine gets broken it seems to change everything. I’m not mad at all about the time that has been taken away from me skateboarding and blogging.

I see it more as a eye opener for me. Also a way to re energize myself. 

Being hurt can teach you that routine schedules are not what life is meant to be. Also it will let you know what things you’ve been taking advantage of and not appreciating.

I’ve been recovering just fine. I bought a new ankle brace that is way better then the one from the hospital and I’ve been doing ankle rehab exercises.

Negativity is ok

IMG_4383 It is all in how you deal with negativity. The mere presence of it will be able to change many things. But honestly without it we wouldn’t have good. That is just the way the universe operates.

It is the way of showing us how to appreciate the positives and good we have in our life. Even if we don’t do so already.  But i’m not saying be negative and then good things will start to come into your life. That is truly not the point here.

I’m more so treading along the lines of what to do with negativity in your life. It will allow you to see where you truly stand mentally. Take every presence of negativity as a chance to grow.

See what you can do to diminish it and what you can do to control it. We all know that nowadays negative people seem to be everywhere. But honestly that is not true.

Let negativity help you grow inside and outside. It’s not what happens to you in life it’s how you react to it.

Whats been going on with me lately

Well lately i’ve been debating on if i should sell my blog and or keep posting here daily. Then i thought real long and hard about doing it. Then i decided that i’m not going to sell it.

Because it’d be somewhat of a dissappointment to myself. It’d seem as if i was throwing all my hard work away. Now i have to focus more on marketing my blog. Also finding a new design as well.

Thank you all for joining me in my journey and staying along with me. I truly do appreciate it.


How to keep motivation alive

My California Just as i wonder sometimes how do i stay motivated, With all the things that i do on a day to day basis. With all honesty it’s not so hard to do. But of course there are times when it becomes hard.

With blogging and skateboarding i feel as times i’m getting burnt out. But in the back of my mind i know its simply from not striving to become better. When we do the same thing’s each day without taking the time to get better we get bored.

For example with writing blog posts if i did not believe in what i wrote and experienced it then it would be of no value.  Also with skateboarding it requires you to constantly push yourself to new limits. There are plenty of times were you will become scared.

It’s all up to you if you want to become better in life. If you do then the how will be taken care of.  As long as you are giving it all you’ve got then the rest will become easy. Also you will be taken care of.

The most simple term that relates to staying motivated is that you get out of it what you put into it. Also how bad do you want it.

Keep your Journals

 They will show you if you’ve grown or not. The journals that you keep are almost like a story to your life. Everything that you put in it from the good to the bad will let you know more about yourself then you could imagine.

In my old small one i still have many things in it. From blog post titles that i wrote while i was at work and audio-book notes that i wrote. Also i had wrote down when i got fired from my job.

When i go back and read the goals i wrote i see how much i’ve grown since then. Because now i know that i’m capable of even more. Honestly i didn’t really take much time to write down the goals. It was just like write them and there they are.

Now in my current journal its bigger and i have alot of stuff in it. From how my day was, audio books, classes on my blog and etc. After i fill this one up i will get a more expensive one.

Simply because i’m not going to put a million dollar idea in a 10 cent notebook.  That’s a phrase i heard from Mr Rohn.  Take the time to write in your journal and if you don’t have one yet go get one.

Review: Jim Rohn The challenge to succeed

 This audio-book was amazing just as the rest of Jim’s work is. In this audiobook Jim talked about various things.  I’ll share with you a little bit from the notes that i took.

Time management: Best kept secret of the rich. When i heard that i was blown away. With all honesty it’s very true. They have 24hours in a day just like everyone else. The only difference is how they manage there time.

Then he talks about the 5 major pieces of the life puzzle. Also what to put in your library which should have audio,video and reading material.  One quote that stands out to me still is “Each of us need all of us”. That’s from The how you feel list.

Jim Also talks about association types, what shapes our attitude and many other things.  I’d suggest that you take advantage of such good material and pick it up

Neglect will rob you of everything

Smashed Whether you believe it or not when you neglect to do something you will block  other things to get done. If you for example don’t brush your teeth before you go to sleep you probably will not brush them in the morning.

That will lead you to probably not washing your face and many other things. But anyhow something so simple as washing your face will lead to you brushing your teeth. It’s things that are so simple.

When you sit and push something back and back and back you will most often do it with other things.  You should never wait for someone to ask “When are you going to get going? ” That quote i heard from Jim Rohn
has stayed in my head ever since.

With things that i’m doing and wanting to do. Now it’s as if Jim is talking to me asking me that. Then therefore i kick it into gear and get to work. Stop neglecting to do the easy things that can be done.

I’m sure there is many thing that you should, can and want to do. But you haven’t given it much time to get done. Seriously once you start doing the easy stuff everything else will become easy as well.

The power of writing down goals

 This past week i’ve been practicing the power of writing down goals. I had written down some goals that i wanted to accomplish daily skateboarding. Just some very simple ones not to hard.  It’s like writing down the goals brought them to life.

The way that i got started was by saying to myself I’m going to write down my goals and see how it works.  After i wrote them down before i headed out to skateboard i put them into my wallet to carry with me. As the day went along i learned a new trick that was in my goals.

Then the other one i came close to achieving that one as well. Not capable of checking it off just yet.  But doing something so simple made a big difference in not writing them down.  Doing just that made me realize how simple achieving goals really are.

I’m simply saying that if i can do it so can you. On the list i wrote simple things down so i can have something to check off. Just the feeling of it is indescribable.

Some tips on writing down your goals

  • Write down things that are simple to be achieved in a day
  • Believe you can do it
  • Say to yourself why not?

Just a simple formula that i used for writing down my goals. I will continue to do so in the future.

Take the first step

Thomo's Taking the first step towards your desired lifestyle is probably the most difficult thing for many people to do. They say they want this and that but what are they doing to have it?

I’ll be honest with you i at times i have trouble taking action and not slacking off.  Instead of slacking I’ll use neglect because it makes more sense. Earlier in the week i listened to Jim Rohn’s audio-book called challenge to succeed.

One part he talked about neglect.  That some do and some don’t. Also that some will and some won’t. That is called the simple approach from Jim Rohn. After hearing that i thought “wow”.

Now its really clicking in my head. But lets stay on topic.  Taking the first step requires you to do things that are easy to do.  Not pushing them aside and saying you will do them someday.

Do them immediately. Doing some will spark a chain reaction to the rest of the things you are doing in your life at this moment.

So start doing today this instant what is easy to do but you have not been doing it.  There can be something as simple as brushing your teeth in the morning. Doing  just that will lead to other things.

What to do when everything goes wrong

EmotionIn life We all experience times were it seems as if nothing is going our way. As if everything is just on a downhill curve. Wondering is everything i’m doing just the wrong thing to do.

I had many times dealt with such thoughts and situations. Little knowledge and action i took to help me deal with the situations. But as i got older i started coming across material that was life changing.

When everything is going wrong the first step should to be positive about it. Not becoming negative and thinking its just going to continue going this way i should just give up. That mentality is a ticket to the road for destruction.  So remember remain positive

The second step is to believe that you are going to make it through it. No matter how many times you get knocked down it depends on if you are willing to get back up.  What are you going to do?

The third step is to be thankful for what you do have. Being thankful creates more and more positive energy. Daily i do this and it makes me feel even better when i got out of bed.
