Neglect will rob you of everything

Smashed Whether you believe it or not when you neglect to do something you will block  other things to get done. If you for example don’t brush your teeth before you go to sleep you probably will not brush them in the morning.

That will lead you to probably not washing your face and many other things. But anyhow something so simple as washing your face will lead to you brushing your teeth. It’s things that are so simple.

When you sit and push something back and back and back you will most often do it with other things.  You should never wait for someone to ask “When are you going to get going? ” That quote i heard from Jim Rohn
has stayed in my head ever since.

With things that i’m doing and wanting to do. Now it’s as if Jim is talking to me asking me that. Then therefore i kick it into gear and get to work. Stop neglecting to do the easy things that can be done.

I’m sure there is many thing that you should, can and want to do. But you haven’t given it much time to get done. Seriously once you start doing the easy stuff everything else will become easy as well.

Take the first step

Thomo's Taking the first step towards your desired lifestyle is probably the most difficult thing for many people to do. They say they want this and that but what are they doing to have it?

I’ll be honest with you i at times i have trouble taking action and not slacking off.  Instead of slacking I’ll use neglect because it makes more sense. Earlier in the week i listened to Jim Rohn’s audio-book called challenge to succeed.

One part he talked about neglect.  That some do and some don’t. Also that some will and some won’t. That is called the simple approach from Jim Rohn. After hearing that i thought “wow”.

Now its really clicking in my head. But lets stay on topic.  Taking the first step requires you to do things that are easy to do.  Not pushing them aside and saying you will do them someday.

Do them immediately. Doing some will spark a chain reaction to the rest of the things you are doing in your life at this moment.

So start doing today this instant what is easy to do but you have not been doing it.  There can be something as simple as brushing your teeth in the morning. Doing  just that will lead to other things.

How to be more observant

  1. Open your mind- Start thinking of things that seemed impossible but are possible. For example the computer,phone however you are reading this blog post was built from someone who thought it was possible. While others did not believe it as so.
  2. Expand your beliefs- Relates to the first one a bit but overall if you do not open your mind you will not be able to expand your beliefs
  3. Think like a child-A child ask questions upon questions. They are always learning. Some continue to after they graduate from college and some don’t. Be the person who does.
  4. Constantly seek to improve yourself-When you do this you will began to see life from a different point of view.

Review:Cultivating an unshakable character By Jim Rohn

I must say that this audio book was simply unbelievable just like the rest from Jim.  It starts off simply by getting you warmed up with a little story about character and success.

I’ve listened to it once now i’m listening again and taking notes. Some things he talks about are what the word character comes from. Courage, honesty, humor.

What really stood out to me when he was talking about humor is when he said how so people are naturally funny and those who aren’t and etc.

The fears that Mr Rohn had said shocked me but they were true. Here is some i wrote down in my journal

  1. Afraid of what might happen financially
  2. Afraid of getting sick
  3. Fear of helpness

Then a few minutes after the last one he said people who built this country faced problems we could only imagine today.

Do yourself a favor and pick this up asap it will change your life for the better.

2 Ways to create affirmations

Ticking time... I learned from Jim Rohn that whenever we create affirmations or have them that they should be nothing but the truth. Meaning that whenever we state the truth it brings current situation to the forefront and we notice it clearer.

For example I’m not sure if this is correct saying that Jim used but it’s somewhat along these lines, he said that whenever you say that I’m wealthy, when you are truly broke you shouldn’t say things like that to yourself. Meaning that if you are broke you should say I’m broke.

Doing that will help you understand more and to get yourself in gear. There is nothing wrong with affirmations as long as they affirm the truth.  Be honest with yourself as much as possible.

The 2 simple ways in creating affirmations

  1. Be honest with yourself. Stating what is truly happening and has happened.
  2. Take action and begin to change it.
